Duke Defends Title, Repeats as Champions

Duke has taken home the title of NCAA D1 champions for the second year in a row. Led by a powerful offense featuring top Tewaaraton contender Jordan Wolf, Duke put down Notre Dame with a final score 10-8. One of the main advantages of Duke’s game came from sophomore Myles Jones, a midfielder with both size and skill. Jones had a great day on both sides of the ball, finishing with two g’s and an assist in the final game of the season. By keeping key Notre Dame player Matt Kavanagh relatively quiet, Duke was able to stifle the Fighting Irish offense and start the game off to a 7-2 lead before allowing ND to start chipping away. A great win for the Blue Devils, and a remarkable achievement for the program to achieve its third title in five years.
